I am so excited to share with you some of the photos from a styled shoot I did back in May. The brief was bold and bright, incorporating citrus colours, representing the height of summer. I chose peachy Ranunculus, and coral coloured Roses for the main pop of colour and added zesty yellow Buttercups and Achilliea paired with orange Asclepias Tuberosa. I wanted to slightly soften the colour palette so I added white and nude Carnations and created some texture with Feverfew. One of my favourite parts of the shoot was incorporating fruit into the styling and design, enhancing those zesty tones and to add more dimension.
Bride & Groom
I kept the bridal bouquet to a medium size and packed it full of flowers, I only included a little foliage for texture and to add some bounce and movement. I made the buttonhole on the larger size and kept the beautiful peach Ranunculus as the main flower because they are one of my favourite flowers. Both the bouquet and buttonhole were finished off with beautiful hand dyed silk ribbon by The Silk Studio UK.
Ceremony Flowers
For the ceremony flowers I created several wild style arrangements that I placed at the end of each aisle. I used more foliage in these arrangements, specifically Jasmin and Ruscus to add that wild and whimsical aesthetic. These meadow flowers created a beautiful floral runner which looked like they sprung up from the ground. I also used them up the beautiful steps to create a bit of drama around the stairway.
Table Flowers
For the table flowers I created three low bowl arrangements and kept the arrangements wild and airy, in keeping with the ceremony flowers. I love to create arrangements that look quite natural and packed with floral goodness. I styled oranges, lemons and grapefruits on the table to add a fun twist and they worked so well with the colour of the flowers. The peachy colours partnered with the blue table cloth created the perfect summer colour palette.
So that's it, a look into my first styled shoot which was so much fun to be apart of and it was a pleasure to work with such lovely and talented suppliers. If you enjoyed this post then please let us know in the comments and like this blog.
